365BASE Outdoor Hostel is full of fun and exciting concepts, offering a space that delights both adults and kids…
A 4-minute walk east from Sukenobu Station on the Enshū Railway, near central Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
365BASE Outdoor Hostel is a hotel full of fun and exciting concepts.
Inside this outdoor-themed hotel, you’ll find playful touches throughout the rooms, creating an exciting space that delights both adults and children.
365BASE, which began as a share house in 2015, transformed into an outdoor-themed hotel in 2020 and has since become a popular destination for guests from around the world.
The hotel features many unique rooms, including large tents, indoor camping setups, and rooms with bouldering walls—making it a rare experience even in Japan.
Each first-floor room comes equipped with a grill on the terrace, so you can enjoy a barbecue anytime.
Let us introduce 365BASE Outdoor Hostel, where you can enjoy a fun experience unlike your everyday routine♪
Mr. Furuhashi, CEO of 365BASE, spent about 10 years working in product planning and as a store manager for major apparel brands before gaining experience in the real estate industry, a completely different field.
He later became independent in 2015, running a real estate business in Hamamatsu City.
“I was slated for a transfer to China while working for a major apparel brand, but while the company focused on ‘global,’ I personally felt that focusing on the ‘local’ might make life more enjoyable. With this reversed perspective, I decided to leave the brand and return to my hometown of Hamamatsu,” says Mr. Furuhashi.
365BASE began when he renovated a company-owned residence and rented it out as a share house.
Starting in 2015 with a share house rental, 365BASE evolved with the times.
Around 2017, they renovated the bedrooms to include dormitory-style accommodations, making it easier for inbound travelers—who were becoming increasingly common—to stay comfortably.
Then, during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, they decided to completely renovate the accommodation facility.
Inspired by his childhood wish to go outdoors and camping, CEO Mr. Furuhashi used “outdoors” as the key concept, creating all 36 rooms filled with playful touches that let guests have fun all day—even while staying indoors.
The renovated rooms are full of surprising and playful features, making 365BASE a popular destination that attracts fans from all over Japan.
At 365BASE Outdoor Hostel, authentic outdoor gear is available in every room.
Guests can enjoy rooms with different themes, from ones that capture the thrill of camping outdoors, to rooms greeted by cute stuffed animals, and even rooms where you can try bouldering.
The rooms are also equipped with basic cooking tools, so guests can buy ingredients and enjoy a lively barbecue, spending fun times together.
From here, we’ll introduce the most popular rooms.
The Glamping Room, accommodating up to around 8 guests, lets families and friends enjoy the feeling of the outdoors together.
The large indoor tent is made by Nordisk, a world-renowned outdoor brand from Denmark.
At 365BASE, which is themed around the outdoors, even the indoor decorations are carefully selected to be authentic.
Additionally, the terrace is equipped with a genuine Char-Broil gas barbecue grill from the United States.
You’re free to bring your own ingredients—enjoy a wonderful time with your loved ones☆
This room was designed with the concept of a treehouse, something CEO Mr. Furuhashi had dreamed of since childhood.
The bed space, inspired by a treehouse built around a living tree, feels just like a secret hideout!
The entire room is designed to feel like being in a forest, allowing you to fully enjoy an extraordinary, out-of-the-ordinary experience.
The room is equipped with a WEBER electric barbecue grill, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable barbecue regardless of the weather—another great feature!
The Camp Dormitory, accommodating around 10 guests, is perfect for group stays or training camps!
With separate bed spaces, guests can enjoy comfort and privacy, making this room ideal for families, friends, or group trips.
In the living space of the Indoor Camp Room, where you can enjoy a camping vibe all year round, there’s a 100-inch projector!
You can sit in chairs arranged around the fireplace, enjoy movies or music on the big screen, or simply relax and chat—making for a truly enjoyable time.
The terrace also comes equipped for authentic barbecue enjoyment.
The California Double Room features a bright and open design inspired by California on the U.S. West Coast.
The stylish and comfortable design makes it perfect not only for couples or friends, but also for business travelers.
You can sit on the two-seater sofa and enjoy movies or streaming services on a roughly 120-inch screen using the PopIn Aladdin projector.
Why not relax as if you were on a California beach while watching your favorite movies or shows on Netflix or YouTube?
The SAFARI Room lets you enjoy a safari-like experience surrounded by animals—so cute that you’ll likely exclaim, “Aww, so adorable!” the moment you step inside.
The SAFARI Room is perfect for families or friends to enjoy a fun, home-party-like experience, and it comes equipped with a spacious kitchen where you can cook freely.
The room comes equipped with a BRUNO hot plate, takoyaki maker, two-burner induction stove, and microwave, so you can buy ingredients from a nearby supermarket and enjoy cooking together for a special time♪
The room accommodates 4 guests, but up to 6 guests can stay for an additional fee (recommended: 4 adults + 2 children).
This standout room lets you experience bouldering, a sport that gained attention during the Tokyo Olympics!
Why not try bouldering on the wall covered with grips, known as “holds”, and challenge yourself indoors?
Even if you fall while bouldering, the floor is padded with mats, so you can play safely.
It’s guaranteed to be a fun and exciting experience for families and friends!
The first-floor shared living area spans about 80㎡ (approximately 48 tatami mats) and can also be used for corporate training sessions or meetings.
The space is available on weekdays only, and during busy periods such as spring break, Golden Week, and summer vacation, some days may be unavailable. Please contact the hotel for details.
Why not hold your next corporate training or team-building session in a space renovated with the concept of an “outdoor enthusiast’s secret base,” where both mood and mind can be refreshed?
While 365BASE Outdoor Hostel offers unique rooms for a special stay, the company also runs “365LIFE,” an information site that makes it easy for those who want to turn their everyday living space into a distinctive and stylish home to find unique rental properties.

While 365BASE Outdoor Hostel Hamamatsu is themed around the outdoors, I personally have never been very comfortable with camping or staying outdoors.
That’s why I thought it would be fun to create rooms where you can enjoy the feeling of the outdoors indoors, and that idea became 365BASE Outdoor Hostel Hamamatsu.
We offer unique rooms that can be enjoyed by families, groups, or couples. We look forward to welcoming you!
