A Place of Solace – The Mosque in Hamamatsu

Many Muslims live in the city of Hamamatsu.

When the time for prayer arrives, they naturally gather in one place.
That place is Mohammadi Mosque—a quietly standing sanctuary where faith and peace of mind converge. It truly is a “place of solace.”

The mosque has no lock on its doors; they remain open at all times.
It is accessible to all, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Facilities for ablution are also provided, allowing visitors to purify themselves in peace before prayer.
There, a gentle spirit of inclusivity and quiet moments of prayer flow throughout.

Supporting this mosque is Mr. Farhad Uddin, originally from Bangladesh.
He not only uses his own personal funds but also works hand in hand with the local Muslim community to carefully preserve this sacred space.
Donations and compassion have sustained the mosque to this day.
