Akihasan Hongu Akiha Shrine

  • Culture
Since ancient times, visitors to Akihasan Hongu Akiha Shrine have believed that the deity enshrined here offers protection against fires. Worshippers congregate annually during the Fire Festival in December. There's a gold-colored torii gate, and the summit offers an impressive view of the Mikawa mountain range, the Tenryugawa River, and Hamamatsu City and Enshunada off in the distance.
