  • Culture
This historical Rinzai Buddhist temple is surrounded by nature. It offers a spanning view onto the shores of Lake Sanaru, considered an oasis in downtown Hamamatsu. The temple's main attractions include a garden designed by Yasuo Kitayama, who worked on the Japanese garden featured at the World Exposition in Aichi, and the world’s largest Buddhist sutra scripture (H: 4m x W: 16m) by Shoko Kanazawa, a genius calligrapher with Down syndrome.
