Why not bring along a professional photographer to capture your special events or unforgettable moments with loved ones during your trip?
In an age where smartphones and digital cameras make it easy to take photos anytime, we take pride in offering the value only a professional can provide.
As experienced professional photographers, we do more than just take pictures—we understand how to use light, framing, and the right equipment to bring out the best in every shot.
Depending on the subject, setting, and purpose, we carefully choose the gear and adjust for the perfect result.
We’re able to capture authentic expressions and emotional moments as they happen, and create a dramatic atmosphere by skillfully combining natural and artificial light.
And once the photos are taken, we use our editing and retouching skills to enhance them and bring out their full beauty.
We hope to create more than just a record—we aim to turn your memories and emotions into lasting treasures through photography.
Whether it’s a pre-wedding (also known as engagement) or wedding photo shoot, a family or friends’ trip, or even company and school events or retreats, we’re happy to accompany you and capture every special moment.
We can accompany you throughout the entire process, or meet you directly at your chosen shooting locations—whichever works best for you.
With extensive experience shooting in a variety of indoor and outdoor locations, we not only offer guidance on shooting styles, poses, and compositions but also provide tailored suggestions based on the venue and lighting conditions on the day.
We also offer full support beyond photography, including experienced professional hair and makeup artists and kimono dressing services.
We can also arrange costumes like kimonos or dresses to be delivered directly to your shooting location—feel free to ask us about any requests!
In addition to communicating in English, we also have multilingual translation devices, so you don’t need to worry about any language barriers during your photo shoot.
As we operate by appointment only, we take the time to discuss your detailed requests via email beforehand and create a clear schedule and plan, so you can enjoy your shoot with peace of mind.
From artistic shots using special effects, to natural photos capturing genuine smiles and expressions, to dynamic images that highlight night skies and cityscapes—we listen to your requests and create unique photos just for you.
We can customize the schedule to suit your needs, whether that means accompanying you throughout all the steps or meeting you directly at your chosen shooting locations.
I’d like to have professional photos taken to capture my memories of Japan.
I’m not familiar with the beautiful locations around Hamamatsu and Lake Hamana, so I’d love some suggestions.
I’d rather leave all the hassle of getting shooting permits to the professionals.
I want to wear a kimono and have lots of beautiful photos taken.
The kimono is one of Japan’s most iconic garments.
Throughout the year, various kimono designs are worn to celebrate the changing seasons, auspicious occasions, and important events on the traditional calendar.
The kimono, a traditional Japanese garment, has many rules for proper wearing.
To ensure it’s worn correctly, a skilled kimono dresser with the right knowledge and technique is needed.
Because the kimono is made from fabric cut in straight lines and wrapped around the body, leaving the body’s natural curves untreated can cause wrinkles and the garment to come undone.
To create a smooth foundation for beautiful kimono dressing, gauze, towels, and special pads are used to fill in hollows and even out the shape.
The hairstyle known as Nihongami is a traditional Japanese hair arrangement that developed during the Edo period. The hair is divided into sections—such as the front, sides (bin), back (tabo), and topknot (mage)—and gathered into a structured style centered around a base called the ne.
Today, traditional hair arrangements like Nihongami are no longer part of everyday life, and are mostly worn by maiko and in other formal cultural settings.
The classical technique of styling Nihongami using traditional materials—such as bin-tsuke oil, motoyui (Japanese paper cords), and tsugegushi (boxwood combs)—is a highly specialized skill that only a small number of trained hairstylists can perform today.
At GRAPHYS, we practice traditional Japanese hairstyling techniques and use time-honored makeup products, such as beni (traditional Japanese red dye), allowing you to experience authentic Japanese culture firsthand.
