Hamamatsu Flower Park

When it comes to recommended Christmas events in Hamamatsu, the Flower Illumination at Hamamatsu Flower Park is a must-see.

Known for its beautiful seasonal flowers throughout the year, the park takes on a new atmosphere at night, illuminated by around one million sparkling lights.

Visitors can enjoy a scene where flowers and illumination come together, with highlights including a glittering 8-meter-tall fir tree and vibrant poinsettias.

The illumination features several noteworthy areas, including the new “Animal Orchestra” area, the upgraded “Adventure Forest: Dokidoki Dinosaur Camp,” and “Magical Pokapoka Forest,” featuring the illuminated Tropical Dome.

Zaza City Hamamatsu

In front of Zaza City Hamamatsu, located in central Hamamatsu, the Kajimachi Street Tree Illumination brings a festive glow to the city streets.

Approximately 70,000 gold-colored LED lights decorate the street trees, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere.

Ryugashido Cave

At Ryugashido Cave, a popular sightseeing spot in Hamamatsu, a special illumination event can be enjoyed even during the daytime.

Inside a small cave at the footbath facility “Youkita-do,” located near the entrance to Ryugashido Cave, numerous lights are installed, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of being beneath a star-filled sky.

＜Kosai City＞Kirakira Festa in Kosai (JR Washizu Station)

In Kosai City, located next to Hamamatsu, visitors can also enjoy illuminations.

A recommended spot is “Kirakira Festa in Kosai,” an illumination display that can be enjoyed just steps away from JR Washizu Station—only a short walk from the ticket gates.

Trees and streetlights around the station rotary and the open plaza in front of the station are decorated with sparkling lights, creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.

Kirakira Festa in Kosai is held every year with the support of local residents and businesses, and this year marks its 23rd edition.
