The Only Ropeway in Japan Above a Lake!

Kanzanji Hot Springs sits on the shore of Lake Hamana. It’s home to Kanzanji Ropeway—the only ropeway in Japan that travels above a lake. This ropeway connects Kanzanji Hot Springs with Mt. Okusa on the lake’s opposite shore. It travels a distance of 720 meters. When you reach Mt. Okusa, there’s an observation deck and the Orgel Museum. The observation deck offers an all-encompassing view of Lake Okuhamana. Please enjoy this four-minute gondola ride in the sky.
*Note: The ropeway is closed for annual inspection from mid-January to mid-February.
