About a 30-minute drive west from Hamamatsu Station.
Grand Mercure Lake Hamana Resort & Spa boasts an excellent location close to Lake Hamana’s attractions, including Hamanako Garden Park and traditional ‘Takiya-ryo’ fishing experiences.
This hotel was rebranded and reopened in April 2024 as part of Grand Mercure, a premium brand by Accor, a global hospitality group based in Paris, France.
The hotel embraces the concept of “Proudly Local – Embracing the Spirit of the Region.” Inside, you’ll find artwork inspired by Kanzanji Onsen, a symbol of Lake Hamana, creating an elegant and luxurious atmosphere.
Guests love the beautiful views of Lake Hamana right in front of the hotel, the buffet featuring locally sourced ingredients from the lake, and the popular all-inclusive service.
This time, we’re introducing Grand Mercure Lake Hamana Resort & Spa, surrounded by the rich natural beauty of Lake Hamana.♪
In April 2024, 22 Grand Mercure and Mercure hotels across Japan reopened under a new brand concept.
Grand Mercure Lake Hamana Resort & Spa is one of them.
Offering journeys across Japan that let you experience stunning local landscapes, traditions, and culture.
They see major cities and well-known tourist hubs as the “main house,” and the lesser-known but beautiful areas just beyond them as the “hanare,” or “detached retreat.” They offer experiences that take you a step further—into breathtaking natural scenery, rich local traditions and culture, and meaningful encounters with the people who call these regions home.
Nestled in the rich natural surroundings of Lake Hamana, Grand Mercure Lake Hamana Resort & Spa has been rebranded as a hotel that welcomes guests with its stunning location and delicious local ingredients sourced from the lake’s bounty.
Grand Mercure Lake Hamana Resort & Spa offers an all-inclusive experience.
The room rate includes dinner, breakfast, drinks and snacks at the lounge, as well as access to the hot springs and various activities—so you can relax without worrying about extra charges.
Starting from 3 PM check-in, you can immediately enjoy the lounge and hot springs, making it easy to make the most of your time.
On the first-floor lounge, you can enjoy a variety of drinks, from soft beverages like coffee and tea to about four types of alcoholic drinks, including beer and sparkling wine.
Starting at 9 PM, the lounge offers a completely different lineup of drinks compared to daytime, featuring whiskey, brandy, shochu, and more—perfect for those who want to unwind and savor a relaxing moment before bedtime while traveling.
The all-inclusive system, where you can enjoy as much of what you like as you want, truly makes your trip even more fulfilling.
The spectacular view of Lake Hamana from the top floor, the 13th floor, is highly recommended.
The vast lake stretching out into the distance and the clear, open sky create a beautiful setting where you can relax and lose track of time.
We also recommend enjoying the view at different times of the day.
During the day, you can enjoy the refreshing blue of the lake and sky, while in the evening, the stunning sunset paints the scenery in warm reds.
Starting in April, the space will open as the “Executive Lake View Lounge.”
☆Dinner buffet☆
Enjoy a diverse and modern dinner buffet that highlights the unique ingredients and food culture of Lake Hamana.
You can also enjoy local dishes like Hamamatsu gyoza and unagi bokumeshi, making it a great way to experience the region’s food culture during your trip.
Guests love to enjoy a relaxing meal while taking in the magnificent views of Lake Hamana.
Seasonal desserts, which change throughout the year, are also very popular!
☆Breakfast buffet☆
Start your day with a wide variety of options, from local dishes to customizable pancakes with your favorite toppings—so many choices, you might find it hard to decide what to eat!
You can also enjoy local dishes like shirasu from Maisaka and Fujinomiya yakisoba.
In addition to non-alcoholic drinks, sparkling wine is also available to help you start your special day off right.
Yutou Onsen is sourced from about 500 meters underground, featuring sodium-calcium chloride spring water.
Generally, these hot springs are known to warm the body and promote relaxation.
In addition to the open-air bath, the open-air area also has a reclining bath and a tub bath, so you can enjoy the hot springs to your liking.
The men’s bath features a dry sauna, while the women’s bath offers a mist sauna.
After your bath, relax in the hot spring lounge, where a large mural inspired by the sunset creates a striking atmosphere.
The hot spring lounge offers local teas and vinegar drinks, allowing you to unwind and relax without worrying about the time.
The Executive Twin features white walls accented by vibrant blue artwork that really catches the eye.
The art, inspired by Hamamatsu’s traditional dyeing technique “Hamamatsu Chusen” and Lake Hamana, creates a relaxing atmosphere for guests to enjoy.
Depending on the room’s orientation, you can enjoy views of Lake Hamana or the Enshu-nada Sea, offering a chance to experience the rich natural beauty of the area.
The Classic Junior Suite is located on the top floor.
The spacious 72-square-meter room features both beds and a tatami area in a modern setting, making it perfect for special occasions or group stays.
The Classic Japanese-Western Room features a tatami area by the window, allowing you to enjoy a touch of traditional Japanese atmosphere.
Rooms with Western-style twin beds are very popular with families.
On April 1, 2025, the Executive Lake View Lounge will open on the top floor, offering stunning views of the magnificent Lake Hamana.
The Executive Lake View Lounge is an exclusive space available only to guests who book the Executive Twin or any of the suite rooms.
The lounge is furnished with warm brown tones, creating a calm atmosphere where you can unwind and relax at the end of the day.
The selection of drinks includes local shochu and whiskey, familiar green tea cocktails from Shizuoka, sparkling wine, red and white wines, beer, and more.
Soft drinks are also available.
