The History Museum is next to the Shijimizuka Ruins, an archeological site from the Jomon Period that was redeveloped into a park. The museum features the prehistoric and ancient history of Hamamatsu. Exhibitions include a reproduced skeleton of the Elephas naumanni, primitive settlement models, and more.
